Abraham A. Gutnicki
Abraham A. Gutnicki is the founder of Gutnicki LLP. Under Mr. Gutnicki’s guidance, Gutnicki LLP has grown from a one-person practice to a boutique commercial law firm servicing clients throughout the United States in a wide variety of transactional matters.
Mr. Gutnicki’s areas of expertise include mergers and acquisitions, commercial real estate, finance and private equity transactions, with a special concentration in the health care industry. Mr. Gutnicki’s clients range from family owned businesses to large institutional organizations, including real estate ventures, long term care chain organizations, institutional investors, national banking institutions and commercial lenders, including lenders approved to participate in loans that are credit enhanced by U.S. government insurance programs such as HUD.
In the recent past, Mr. Gutnicki has served as lead counsel in several acquisition and financing transactions with an aggregate transaction value of more than $1 billion dollars. Such transactions include the acquisition/disposition of real estate and business assets located in multiple states, the private placement/syndication of equity interests, and term and revolving based loans secured by business assets and accounts receivable, including accounts receivable generated under government payor programs such as Medicare and Medicaid.
Mr. Gutnicki also advises many health care clients on fraud and abuse, anti-kickback and self-referral prohibitions, corporate practice of medicine, fee splitting, compliance, privacy, HIPAA, false claims, and other health care regulatory issues.
Mr. Gutnicki has a B.A. from Touro College and a J.D. from Washington University School of Law.
