Chaim Kalish is an associate in Gutnicki LLP’s Litigation and Compliance practice groups and focuses his practice on complex commercial disputes and healthcare regulatory compliance matters. He is deeply committed to delivering pragmatic counsel and cost-effective solutions, carefully tailored to the specific requirements of each client and matter.
Chaim earned his J.D. cum laude from Chicago-Kent College of Law on a full merit scholarship and earned CALI Excellence Awards for the highest grade in Administrative Law, Criminal Procedure: Investigative Process, and Legal Writing III (covers non-litigation oriented transactional issues and documents). Prior to and throughout law school, Chaim held full-time roles with the Gutnicki Litigation practice group, first as a paralegal and later as a law clerk. His work supporting the litigation group provided him with substantial experience in matters ranging from eight-figure contract disputes to six-figure Medicare overpayment determinations.
An avid technologist, Chaim has significantly contributed to the implementation of computer-assisted eDiscovery processes and efficiency-gaining workflow optimizations. He has extensive experience in implementing efficient and defensible discovery processes, ranging from cases involving dozens of pages to millions. Chaim has presented at an industry conference on optimizing document review using artificial intelligence and has conducted multiple attorney training sessions on advanced eDiscovery workflows.
Chaim lives in Chicago with his wife and two children and remains active in Kollel Tiferes Yisroel, where he studied Talmudic law prior to his legal career.
