Ernest is a trusted advisor with extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic transactions in the corporate life cycle. In addition to his transactional practice, he has also represented numerous clients in areas of corporate governance, general corporate law and franchising, while also counseling clients on all aspects of ongoing operations, including complex commercial contracting.

Ernest has a particular focus on the payments and FinTech industries having advised clients on issues related to investments into payment systems companies, the creation of digital wallets and other payment technologies, and transactional matters involving payment processors. As in-house counsel, Ernest gained experience with global money transmission and anti-money laundering issues associated with payments. His strength lies in his ability to blend his financial services background with his transaction experience.
