Jeremy is a trial-experienced attorney who has litigated cases in state and federal courts, and in arbitration. He has represented clients in several industries, including financial services, hotel and hospitality management, real estate, construction, and transportation and logistics. He has advised and counseled clients in all phases of litigation and has successfully resolved disputes arising from claims surrounding breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, specific performance, fraud, tortious interference, trade secrets, and defamation.

Jeremy is experienced in post-M&A litigation, including disputes arising from claims surrounding earn-out provisions and fraud in the inducement. He excels in his ability to develop creative and efficient litigation strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for his clients. Prior to joining Gutnicki, Jeremy worked in New York as a commercial litigator at Venable LLP and was recognized repeatedly as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers.

Representative Matters

  • After a trial on the merits in a confidential arbitration proceeding, obtained full recovery on breach of contract and fraud claims.*

  • Defended regional bank in confidential arbitration against breach of contract claim brought by payment processor.*

  • Represented owner in construction dispute with general contractor and advised client on New York Lien Law.*

  • Represented hospitality management company in litigation against former employee involving breach of fiduciary duty, tortious interference, and trade secrets claims.*

  • Obtained Minnesota state court decision granting Trust-party full indemnification for legal fees incurred in connection with litigation against the Trust.*

  • Obtained New York Appellate Division, First Department decision affirming denial of motion for a preliminary injunction halting the sale of assets in a CMBS Trust.*

  • Advised multiple global financial services groups on general litigation matters.*
