Phil is a corporate attorney with more than 15 years of experience advising on complex transactions and governance matters across diverse industries. From 2009 to 2017, Phil practiced at prominent law firms in their M&A and corporate departments, managing matters such as mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, venture capital financings, and general corporate counseling for clients ranging from startups to established enterprises.

From 2017 to 2025 he served as in-house counsel at a leading energy research company, where he handled a broad spectrum of legal responsibilities, including commercial agreements, intellectual property protection, corporate governance, and M&A transactions. He also acted as general counsel for three of the company’s subsidiaries, overseeing their legal operations and strategic initiatives.

Phil joined Gutnicki LLP in 2025, bringing deep expertise in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, and corporate governance to support the firm’s clients.
